Michael Westreicher

I was born in the early 80's in Tyrol, Austria. My first love was music, which is still an important part of my life and my films. I started my diving career in 2011 while on holiday. Back in Austria I did a lot of specialty training, always taking my action cam with me. In 2015 I started my diving education with Global Underwater Explorers, a leader in the field, while also focusing on filming. In 2019 I switched from an action cam to a high quality video system - EASYDIVE!

I'm a self-taught filmmaker, first using freeware and later Adobe software. Music is still the most important creative aspect in my films.

My biggest achievement so far (July 2023) is to win several film awards with “Journey to Ithaka”

In 2018 I bought a Panasonic GH5s and was looking for a housing.

The concept of Easydive was amazing, to use different brands and models of cameras in the same housing. This really saves a lot of money because when you change to a different cam, you don't need a new housing. The old camera can be sold to non-divers.

 In year 2022 I switched from GH5s to GH5 mk2 and the support of Easydive is AMAZING.
